A SACRED PEACE

It is now the middle of April, and I don't know where the time has gone. I am so grateful for the beautiful weather Spirit has blessed us with. As I write, I am sitting outside on my beautiful patio with a bright blue sky, the sun's warmth on my face, the song of several birds, and a soft breeze blowing through my hair- it is all so pleasurable and abundant.

This month has not all been like this afternoon, however.

My anxiety has crept in most days, and I can see how it has been an opportunity to look at my days and priorities. Hence, Sacred Freedom’s topic this month-

INNER PRESENCE OF PEACE.

As a result, I have come to the belief that peace within us just doesn't “happen.” That being said, it absolutely comes when we make the conscious choice to receive it, but until we stop, breathe, focus on becoming conscious, connect with our body, connect with whatever we believe in, and become still (inside AND out), peace is likely to remain a fantasy we keep chasing and never feel.

I received this topic on April 1, and I don't believe it to be a coincidence that I have just now (April 12th) sat down to write about it.

In the 12 days since I received the idea, I have had to learn the concept- AGAIN. I had to live the vision, practice the vision, and remember the vision- AGAIN. Seriously. The Universe gave me this month's energy topic and then made sure that I would have an intense reeducation on how to receive it-AGAIN.

As a result, I have come to the belief that peace within us just doesn't “happen.” I mean, it absolutely comes when we make the conscious choice to receive it, but until we stop, breathe, focus on becoming conscious, connect with our body, connect with whatever we believe in, and become still, peace can remain a fantasy we keep chasing and never feel.

So, I have been practicing peace these past few weeks. Consciously. I have been experimenting with different tools that connect me to the peace within me.

For example, I have practiced noticing when my body feels at peace and where I am feeling it, which meditations feel peaceful to my soul and which don't feel aligned for me at that time, etc., which leads to what I want to share with you…

MY

SACRED SEQUENCE

to AWAKEN INNER PEACE

1. By taking a deep breath and becoming still, I become aware and conscious.

2. By tapping into the feelings my body experiences, I become aware of physical sensations within me.

3. By first noticing my surroundings and naming what I see (for instance, a beautiful tree, a teacup, a candle) and then experiencing those surroundings with all my senses, I become calm and regulated.

Only then can I connect to the Spirit within - which brings me TRUE and TRANSFORMATIVE peace - experienced in my sacral area and my solar plexus area )or just below my belly button and before my heart).

And as I do, I affirm what the Divine calm tells me, such as, "I am safe" or "I am loved” and remain in this place...my place of sacred peace for several moments.

And life continues on; yet, whenever I feel my anxiety returning, I remind myself to return to this practice - AGAIN.

I pray I get to a place where peace is my primary state of being, and I don't need to work so hard to find my way back. But for now, I remain grateful Spirit gave me tools to access the peace I seek; so, I'll keep practicing, thankful for the limitless opportunities to do so.
